What are the common types of zippers? Where are they used?
How to choose the size of the zipper?

The size of a zipper is determined by the width of the zipper teeth.
For example, a 5mm wide tooth is a #5 zipper, a 10mm wide tooth is a #10 zipper, and so on. Common zipper sizes on the market include #3, #5, #10, etc.
The larger the number, the wider the zipper teeth. Usually, larger-sized zippers are used for larger items, such as tents or sofa covers. Small-sized zippers are mostly used in clothing. For example, jacket pockets or crotch of trousers mostly use #3 zippers, while boots and functional jackets usually use #5 zippers, and Zippers for tents or sailboats canvas usually use #10 zipper.
